Bad news for salmon fishermen

Here is a case of bad news and more bad news for salmon fishermen.

Federal fish Manager, based on a recommendation which consider the national marine fisheries service, the closure ocean of salmon fishing point Falcon in Oregon to point sur in California.

The closure-that is planned, to a final vote in April - would basically decimate coastal salmon fishing operations, and despite Federal disaster relief, would essentially put a reasonable number of salmon fishermen from the economy.

Here is the "Canary in the mine" the Klamath River and salmon is resident to hard have found to spawning in yet another river system screwed up.

I'm no scientists but it seems a direct extravagance to the massive off of the Klamath salmon in the year 2002. (For those who don't remember 2002 can back into the water tight year, precious Klamath Basin water was diverted to southern of Oregon and northern California ranches and farms to protect of their interests.) I claim no water management expert to be - although I at a Holiday Inn Express once stay - but it seems, inland waters might want Manager hands shake with marine fisheries managers, especially, if inland rivers to oceans to drain. The fact that a river born raised sea salmon, sometimes hundreds of miles of your young, spawning tells me travel, there is some cause and effect as what "upstream" takes place.

So why would an alfalfa breeder, rancher or a water user for the matter, think that their blatant disregard for those who are "downstream" will have an effect at some point?

Hmmmm?

I'll let you come up with the answer.

I know, is that we will have another ruined River if nothing is done.

Is the double dose of bad news here guess, when the closing takes place, what?

Fishermen are North head.

Washington and Alaska get some people who will be moving suddenly interested.

And of course with more boats and fishermen and pressure on the salmon the next place you will (despite quotas) hearing on closures and angry fishermen will be Washington and Alaska.

The good news is that salmon fishing in every river in the affected area, should any such as rogue & Chetco phenomenally in this year. River salmon fishermen have without any competition from commercial fishermen and oceans sport fishermen, fishes, which all to itself.

So stay tuned, April 2nd and the decisions that are made.

The future of the Klamath River salmon as well as the California commercial fishermen can hang in the balance.
